WordPress Theme Deals 2026, Verified Prices and Renewals

WordPress theme deals for Black Friday with the renewal rates included. Several of these look cheapest in year one and are the most expensive by year three.

Most WordPress theme deals posts, including the version of this one I am replacing, are a list of thirty logos with a discount percentage next to each and no indication of when anybody last checked. This is not that. It is six themes whose pricing pages I opened on 22 September 2026, with the real prices, the site limits and the renewal behaviour.

The single most useful thing I can tell you before the tables start: the best value in WordPress themes right now is not on sale, and the theme I would point most people at is one I earn nothing from. More on that below.

The short version

  • Cheapest per site: GeneratePress Premium, $59 a year for up to 500 sites. That is about twelve cents per site.
  • Cheapest unlimited sites: Blocksy Agency, $149 a year or $499 once.
  • Cheapest single site: GeneratePress at $59, then Blocksy Personal and Astra Pro at $69.
  • Best one off payment: WoodMart at $69 for a WooCommerce store, or Blocksy Personal at $199 for lifetime updates and support.
  • Only themes here that renew at a higher price: Astra's bundles. Everything else renews flat.
  • Nobody is running a real Black Friday theme sale yet. What exists is standing introductory pricing.

The column worth staring at is the last one. Three of these plans cost more in year two than in year one, and all three are Astra bundles. Blocksy, Kadence, GeneratePress and the standalone Astra Pro licence all renew at what you paid.

GeneratePress, the one I would recommend and earn nothing from

GeneratePress Premium is $59 a year and the licence covers up to 500 sites, including client sites you build and manage. Work that out per site and it is roughly twelve cents. Nothing else on this page is close.

GeneratePress One pricing at 149 dollars a year bundling GP Premium, GenerateBlocks Pro, GenerateCloud, 80 starter sites and 200 patterns, with a 30 day money back guarantee
ProductPriceWhat it is
GP Premium$59/yrThe theme, 60+ starter sites, theme builder, full site editing
GenerateBlocks Pro$99/yrBlock editor extension, 300+ patterns
GenerateCloud$99/yrYour own pattern cloud, shared across sites
GeneratePress One$149/yrAll three bundled, 80+ starter sites, 200+ patterns
GeneratePress pricing, 22 September 2026. 30 day money back guarantee.

Two changes worth flagging. GeneratePress no longer sells a lifetime licence; the pricing page is annual only now, where it used to offer a one off option. And the licence explicitly excludes hosting or reselling the key, so it is for sites you build rather than something you bundle into a product.

Why I am telling you about it anyway

GeneratePress runs no affiliate programme, so the link above earns me nothing. Every other theme on this page does pay me a commission. I am putting the one I make no money from at the top of the page because it genuinely is the cheapest per site by a distance, and you should weigh everything else I say here knowing that.

Blocksy, the cheapest route to unlimited sites

Blocksy is what this site runs on, so I use it daily rather than having skimmed the feature list. Its pricing is the simplest of the six: three tiers that are completely identical in features, with only the number of sites changing.

Blocksy pricing cards showing Personal at 69 dollars a year for one site, Business at 99 dollars for ten sites and Agency at 149 dollars for unlimited sites
TierAnnualLifetimeSitesLifetime breakeven
Personal$69/yr$1991About 2.9 years
Business$99/yr$29910About 3.0 years
Agency$149/yr$499UnlimitedAbout 3.4 years
Blocksy pricing, 22 September 2026. Every tier includes all pro starter sites, the shop extension, post types and white label.

Agency at $149 a year, or $499 once, for unlimited sites is the cheapest unlimited licence in this whole comparison. Astra's nearest equivalent is 1000 sites at $279 rising to $429, and Kadence does not publish a site limit at all.

Blocksy's FAQ also states plainly that sites you have already built keep working if you do not renew, which is the answer you want and not one every vendor gives. There is a 14 day refund window. I wrote up why I moved this site onto it in my Blocksy 2.0 review.

Astra, good theme, careful with the bundles

Astra is the most used theme here and its standalone licence is perfectly priced at $69 a year or $249 once for three sites, with no introductory rate that jumps. The trouble is the bundles sitting above it.

  • Astra Pro + AI at $99 does not include Spectra Pro, the premium starter templates, the Ultimate Elementor Addons or SureForms. All four are crossed out on the rendered card. It covers the same three sites as the $69 licence.
  • Every Astra bundle renews about 50% higher. $99 becomes $149, $199 becomes $299, $279 becomes $429.
  • Lifetime is not lifetime for everything. The plugins are permanent, but the AI platform and included hosting run for three years only.
  • Staging and local installs count against your site limit.

The short Astra recommendation

If you want the theme, buy the standalone Astra Pro addon at $69 a year or $249 once. If you want the bundle, skip the $99 tier entirely and go to Essential Toolkit at $199, which is where Spectra Pro and the templates actually turn on. The full breakdown, with the screenshot of the crossed out features, is on the Astra page.

Kadence, now part of Liquid Web, and missing some numbers

Kadence has been absorbed into Liquid Web, and kadencewp.com now serves its pricing from liquidweb.com. The lineup is three tiers: Essentials at $99, Pro at $299 and Elite at $499 a year.

TierPriceWhat it adds
Essentials$99/yrKadence theme, 30+ blocks, 200+ starter templates, form builder, header and footer builder
Pro$299/yrShop Kit for WooCommerce, memberships, security firewall and 2FA, daily backups and one click restore
Elite$499/yrA/B testing, popups, behavioural targeting, white label and client portal, Kadence Central, 1,000 emails a month
Kadence pricing as published on 22 September 2026.

Two things Kadence no longer publishes

The pricing page does not state a site limit for any of the three tiers. Not Essentials, not Pro, not Elite. The only site related note is an asterisk saying Kadence Central plans are priced per site. I am not going to guess a number, so if the site count matters to you, ask before you buy.

The lifetime membership Kadence used to sell is also gone from the pricing page. If you already hold one, hang onto it.

I have compared Kadence against most of the field on this site: against Astra, against Blocksy and against GeneratePress.

WoodMart, if you are building a shop

The five themes above are general purpose. WoodMart is a WooCommerce specialist sold on ThemeForest for a one off $69, which includes six months of support and free updates forever. There is no annual fee and no renewal.

The detail worth knowing before you check out: extending support from six to twelve months costs $21.38 if you tick the box during purchase, and $49.88 if you come back for it later. No sale is running on it at the moment, despite what most deal pages claim.

One off versus annual, over five years

WoodMart at $69 once against Blocksy Personal at $69 a year is $69 versus $345 over five years. That is the real argument for a ThemeForest theme, and it is a strong one if the theme fits your project. The counter argument is that you are betting on one vendor continuing to update a single theme, which is why WoodMart's last update date of 17 September 2026 matters more than its feature list.

Lifetime or annual? The breakeven is about three years

Every lifetime price on this page lands at roughly three times the annual price, which is a deliberate and fairly honest piece of pricing. Here is where each one crosses over.

ThemeAnnualLifetimeBreakeven
Blocksy Personal$69$1992.9 years
Blocksy Business$99$2993.0 years
Blocksy Agency$149$4993.4 years
Astra Pro, addon$69$2493.6 years
Astra Pro + AI$149 at renewal$2791.9 years
Astra Essential$299 at renewal$5491.8 years
Lifetime breakeven, calculated against the renewal rate rather than the introductory rate.

Two rules of thumb. Compare the lifetime price against the renewal rate, not the first year discount, which is why the Astra bundles look like the fastest payback here. And remember that a lifetime licence is a bet on the vendor still existing and still shipping updates in five years. Astra, Blocksy and Kadence have all been around long enough to make that a reasonable bet, but GeneratePress dropping its lifetime option and Kadence dropping its lifetime membership are both reminders that these offers can be withdrawn.

Is there actually a WordPress theme Black Friday sale?

Not yet, and I want to be precise about what that means rather than vague. Of the six themes on this page, none is currently running a discount labelled as Black Friday. What exists is standing introductory pricing on the Astra bundles, which is live all year and reverses at renewal, and a $69 list price on WoodMart with no strikethrough.

Theme vendors do usually run something in late November, and when they do I will put the actual figures in this table rather than a percentage somebody guessed. If you need a theme now, the honest answer is that $59 to $69 is already a reasonable price and waiting two months to maybe save $20 on a tool you will use for years is a poor trade.

What I actually run, and what I would pick

  • This site runs Blocksy with the block editor and no page builder. For a blog or a content site I would pick it again.
  • If I were building client sites, GeneratePress Premium at $59 for 500 sites is unbeatable on cost, and I earn nothing telling you that.
  • If I wanted unlimited sites on one licence, Blocksy Agency at $149 a year or $499 once.
  • If I were building a WooCommerce store, WoodMart at $69 once, or Kadence Pro if I wanted the shop tooling and security in one subscription.
  • If I wanted the biggest starter template library and the deepest Elementor integration, Astra, bought as the standalone $69 licence.

None of these are bad themes. The differences that actually matter are the site limits, the renewal behaviour and whether you want to keep paying, which is exactly what the table at the top of this page is for.

WordPress theme deals FAQs

What is the cheapest premium WordPress theme in 2026?

GeneratePress Premium at $59 a year, and the licence covers up to 500 sites, which works out to roughly twelve cents per site. Blocksy Personal and the standalone Astra Pro licence are next at $69 a year, and WoodMart is $69 as a one off payment.

Which WordPress theme gives unlimited sites?

Blocksy Agency, at $149 a year or $499 as a one off, is the cheapest unlimited licence here. Astra Business Toolkit covers 1000 sites at $279 rising to $429. Kadence does not publish a site limit for any of its tiers.

Do WordPress themes renew at a higher price?

Most of these do not. Blocksy, Kadence, GeneratePress and the standalone Astra Pro licence all renew at the price you paid. The exceptions are Astra's bundles, which renew around 50% higher: $99 becomes $149, $199 becomes $299 and $279 becomes $429.

Is there a WordPress theme Black Friday sale in 2026?

Not at the time of writing. None of the six themes here is running a discount labelled Black Friday. Astra runs standing introductory pricing all year that reverses at renewal, and WoodMart is at its $69 list price with no discount applied.

Should I buy a lifetime theme licence?

The breakeven is around three years on most of them, since lifetime prices sit at roughly three times the annual price. Compare against the renewal rate rather than the introductory rate. Bear in mind that GeneratePress has removed its lifetime option and Kadence has removed its lifetime membership, so these offers do get withdrawn.

Does Astra Pro + AI include Spectra Pro?

No. On the rendered pricing card, Spectra Pro, Premium Starter Templates, Ultimate Elementor Addons and SureForms Agency are all crossed out on the $99 Astra Pro + AI plan. Essential Toolkit at $199 is the first tier that includes the first three.

How many sites does a Kadence licence cover?

Kadence does not publish a site limit for Essentials, Pro or Elite on its pricing page. The only site related statement is that Kadence Central plans are priced per site. If the number matters to you, ask before buying rather than relying on figures quoted elsewhere.

Does GeneratePress still offer a lifetime licence?

No. The pricing page now offers annual subscriptions only: GP Premium at $59, GenerateBlocks Pro at $99, GenerateCloud at $99 and the GeneratePress One bundle at $149 a year.

Can I use one theme licence on client websites?

Usually yes, within the site limit. GeneratePress explicitly permits client sites you build and manage, up to 500, but excludes hosting or reselling the licence key. Astra counts staging and local installs against your limit, which catches agencies out. WoodMart needs one licence per end product.

What happens to my site if I stop paying for a theme?

Your site keeps working. Blocksy states this directly in its FAQ, and Astra says the same. What you lose is updates, support and, on Astra's bundles, the AI features and the included hosting. Running a theme without security updates indefinitely is not a great idea, but nothing breaks the day your licence lapses.

Which WordPress theme is best for WooCommerce?

WoodMart if you want a dedicated WooCommerce theme with the storefront layouts already built, at $69 once. Kadence Pro if you would rather have shop tooling, security and backups in one $299 a year subscription. Blocksy and Astra both handle WooCommerce well as general purpose themes.

Which theme do you use on this site?

Blocksy, with the block editor and no page builder. I moved to it from Kadence and wrote up why, including the things I missed about Kadence afterwards.

Disclosure: some links on this page are affiliate links and I earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. The GeneratePress links are not affiliate links and earn me nothing, which is worth knowing given it is the theme I have put at the top of the page. Every price, site limit and renewal rate here was read off each vendor's own rendered pricing page on 22 September 2026. Where a vendor does not publish a figure, such as Kadence's site limits, I have said so rather than guessed. You can read exactly how I test, verify and update everything on this site.
