Astra Theme Black Friday 2026, Real Prices and Renewals

Astra Black Friday pricing, and the renewal rates the sale page does not show. Astra Pro renews at 149 dollars, Essential at 299 and Business at 429.

If you are looking at the Astra theme Black Friday pricing, there are two things worth knowing before you pick a plan, and neither of them is a discount code. The cheapest bundle includes far less than its feature list appears to say, and the lifetime plans are not lifetime for everything on them.

I went through Astra's pricing page and its FAQ properly on 22 September 2026. To Astra's credit, almost everything below is documented in its own words. It is just documented in an accordion at the bottom of the page rather than on the card you are actually looking at when you decide.

Here are the real 2026 prices, what each tier actually contains, what renewal costs, and the three conditions that catch people out.

The short version

  • Astra Pro + AI at $99 gives you Astra Pro only. Spectra Pro, the premium starter templates, the Elementor addons and SureForms are all crossed out on that card.
  • Every plan renews higher. $99 becomes $149, $199 becomes $299, $279 becomes $429. Astra prints this on the card, which is more than most vendors do.
  • Lifetime is not lifetime for everything. The plugins are yours permanently, but the AI platform and the free hosting stop after three years.
  • Staging and local installs count against your site limit. A 10 site licence means 10 including your dev copies.
  • If you stop renewing, the included hosting stops too, which can take a live site offline. The theme itself keeps working.
  • Just want the theme? Astra Pro on its own is $69 a year or $249 once, for 3 sites, and it is the best value in the range for most people.

Astra Pro + AI at $99 does not include the things it looks like it includes

This is the one that costs people money, so I want to show it rather than describe it. Below is the Astra Pro + AI card on the left and the Essential Toolkit card on the right, exactly as they render.

Astra Pro plus AI card with Spectra Pro, Premium Starter Templates, Ultimate Elementor Addons and SureForms Agency all crossed out and struck through, beside Essential Toolkit which includes the first three

On the $99 plan, Spectra Pro, Premium Starter Templates, Ultimate Elementor Addons and SureForms Agency all carry a grey cross and a line through the text. The only thing from the WordPress toolkit you actually get is Astra Pro itself. On the $199 Essential Toolkit the first three turn into ticks, and SureForms Agency is still crossed out. You need the $279 Business Toolkit before everything is included.

I only caught this because I looked at the rendered page instead of copying the text off it. Copy that pricing table as text and the crosses and the strikethrough both vanish, so every line reads as included. It is the third time in two months I have found the same trap, after Hostinger's Premium plan and Elementor's Essential tier, which is why I screenshot pricing pages now.

What the Astra theme costs in 2026

Astra sells two ways, an annual subscription with introductory first year pricing, or a one off lifetime payment. Everything on the annual side renews higher, and Astra prints the renewal figure directly under the price.

Look at that last row before you look at anything else. Astra Pro on its own is $69 a year and it does not have an introductory rate, so it does not jump. The $99 bundle costs $30 more in year one and $80 more from year two, and what you get for that is the AI platform, one hosted website and a free domain for a year. Not Spectra, not the templates, not the Elementor addons.

Astra does say the renewal rate is fixed at the time of purchase and will not rise beyond the printed amount, which is a genuinely useful commitment and more than most vendors in this batch offer.

Astra lifetime pricing. Breakeven compares the one off price against the renewal rate, not the introductory rate.

Lifetime does not mean lifetime for the AI or the hosting

Straight from Astra's FAQ: on a lifetime plan the WordPress toolkit is yours permanently with updates and support for the life of those products, but the AI platform and the included hosting run for three years from your purchase date. After that the plugins keep working and the AI features and the hosted site do not.

That is not hidden and I do not think it is dishonest, but it does change the arithmetic. If you are buying a lifetime plan mainly for the AI site generation, you are buying three years of it for $279, not forever.

The breakeven column above is worth a second look too. Against the renewal rate rather than the introductory one, the bundles pay for themselves in roughly two years, which is short. The standalone Astra Pro lifetime at $249 against $69 a year takes about three and a half years, which is a much longer bet on a single theme.

Three conditions in Astra's FAQ that catch people out

1. Staging and local sites count against your licence

Astra's wording: every site where Astra is activated counts, live, staging, local or development. A 10 site Essential licence means 10 sites total of any kind. If you keep a staging copy of every client site, your effective capacity is five clients, not ten. Factor that in before you pick a tier.

2. Letting the plan lapse can take a live site down

Your theme and plugins keep running, and your clients' sites will not go dark. What stops is updates, support, every AI feature including blueprints and sandbox sites, and the included hosting. If you actually put a live site on the free hosted website that comes with the plan, that site goes away when you stop paying. Astra flags this as the most important thing to sort out before letting a plan expire, and I agree.

3. The free domain is free for one year only

After year one you pay standard renewal fees, which Astra says run from about $10 to $200 a year depending on the extension and the domain's reputation. The domain is registered in your name rather than Astra's, so you keep it regardless of what happens to the plan, and it is managed through your ZipWP account. That is the right way to do free domains and it is worth saying so.

Is there actually an Astra Black Friday discount?

Not a separate one, no. What Astra runs is standing introductory pricing that is live right now and has been for some time. The page calls it special introductory pricing and notes that all renewals are at full price.

PlanFull priceIntro priceReal discount
Astra Pro + AI, annual$149$9933%
Essential Toolkit, annual$299$19933%
Business Toolkit, annual$429$27935%
Astra Pro + AI, lifetime$449$27938%
Essential Toolkit, lifetime$899$54939%
Business Toolkit, lifetime$1,299$79938%
The actual discount on each Astra plan, calculated from the prices on the page.

Which means the 50% figure that gets quoted everywhere, including in the old version of this page, is not right for 2026. The real numbers are 33% to 39%. If Astra announces a deeper November offer I will update this page with the figure rather than a guess.

Which Astra plan I would actually buy

Most people: Astra Pro addon only, $69 a year

If you are already running the free Astra theme and you want the header and footer builder, the full typography and colour controls and the advanced layouts, this is the purchase. Three sites, $69, no introductory rate that jumps, no bundle you will not use. It is the cleanest deal Astra sells and it is deliberately easy to miss, because it sits below the three big cards.

Freelancers building client sites: Essential Toolkit, $199

This is the first tier where the bundle is real. Spectra Pro, the premium starter templates and the Ultimate Elementor Addons all turn on here, along with 10 sites and five blueprint and sandbox sites. Remember that staging copies count, so plan around five real clients rather than ten. It renews at $299.

Skip the $99 Astra Pro + AI tier

This is the only plan in the range I would actively steer you away from. It is $30 more than the standalone Astra Pro licence in year one and $80 more from year two, it covers the same three sites, and the extra buys you AI credits, one hosted site and a one year domain rather than any of the plugins the card lists. If you want the AI platform, go to Essential where the bundle actually exists. If you want the theme, buy the theme.

How Astra compares with the alternatives

Astra is fast, it is well supported and 1.8 million sites run it, but it is not the only good answer. I have tested the main rivals head to head rather than from their marketing pages.

Worth knowing if you are weighing Essential Toolkit against a Kadence bundle: Spectra Pro is Brainstorm Force's own block plugin, so the Astra bundles are a single vendor stack. I compared Spectra directly against Kadence Blocks in my Spectra review, and the answer is not as one sided as either company would like.

Astra theme Black Friday FAQs

Is there an Astra Black Friday sale in 2026?

Astra does not run a separate Black Friday price. It runs standing introductory pricing that is live now: $99 for Astra Pro + AI, $199 for Essential Toolkit and $279 for Business Toolkit, all renewing higher. The real discount against full price is 33% to 35% on annual plans and 38% to 39% on lifetime, not the 50% that is widely quoted.

How much does Astra Pro cost?

Astra Pro on its own is $69 a year or $249 as a one off lifetime purchase, both covering three websites. The Astra Pro + AI bundle is $99 in year one and $149 after that, also for three websites.

Does Astra Pro + AI include Spectra Pro and the starter templates?

No. On the rendered pricing card, Spectra Pro, Premium Starter Templates, Ultimate Elementor Addons and SureForms Agency are all crossed out on the Astra Pro + AI plan. Essential Toolkit at $199 is the first tier that includes the first three. Only Business Toolkit includes SureForms Agency.

What does Astra renew at?

Astra Pro + AI renews at $149 a year, Essential Toolkit at $299 and Business Toolkit at $429. Astra states the renewal rate is fixed at the time of purchase and will not increase beyond those amounts. The standalone Astra Pro licence at $69 has no introductory rate, so it does not jump.

Is the Astra lifetime plan really lifetime?

Partly. The WordPress toolkit, meaning Astra Pro and whichever bundled plugins your tier includes, is permanent with updates and support for the life of those products. The AI platform and the included hosting run for three years from your purchase date and then stop.

Do staging and local sites count against my Astra licence?

Yes. Astra counts every site where the theme is activated, whether it is live, staging, local or a development copy. A 10 site licence covers 10 installs of any type, so keeping a staging copy of each client site halves your effective capacity.

What happens if I do not renew Astra?

Your sites keep working. The theme and any installed plugins continue to run. What stops is plugin updates, new premium templates, support, all AI features including blueprints and sandbox sites, and the included hosting. If you put a live site on that free hosted website, it goes away, so move it before you let a plan lapse.

Is the free domain really free?

For the first year. From year two you pay standard registration renewal, which Astra says ranges from about $10 to $200 a year depending on the extension. The domain is registered in your name, not Astra's, so you keep it whatever happens to your plan.

How many sites does each Astra plan cover?

Astra Pro and Astra Pro + AI cover 3 websites, Essential Toolkit covers 10 and Business Toolkit covers 1000. Remember that staging and local installs count.

Does Astra have a refund policy?

Yes, 14 days, on every plan including lifetime. Astra describes it as no questions asked.

Should I buy Astra annual or lifetime?

Compare the lifetime price against the renewal rate rather than the introductory one. On that basis the bundles break even in roughly two years, which is a reasonable bet. The standalone Astra Pro lifetime at $249 against $69 a year takes about three and a half years, which is a much longer commitment to one theme.

Is Astra better than Kadence or GeneratePress?

They are close enough that the honest answer depends on how you build. Astra has the largest starter template library and the deepest Elementor integration. Kadence has stronger native block tooling. GeneratePress is the lightest. I have compared all three in detail on this site rather than picking a winner in a sentence.
