HostGator Black Friday 2026 has not been announced yet. I checked on 27 October 2026 and HostGator's own Black Friday URL returns a 404. What is running instead is an introductory rate that takes the WordPress Baby plan to $4.50 a month, which HostGator labels 73% off, renewing at $16.49 a month.
I have rewritten this page from scratch. The old version quoted 2020 prices for plans HostGator no longer sells, which is exactly the kind of Black Friday page I complain about other sites publishing. Everything below comes off HostGator's own WordPress hosting page, read on the date above, and I care far more about what you pay in year two than about the headline price.
HostGator WordPress Hosting Prices Today
HostGator sells three WordPress plans. All three show a discounted first term price and, to HostGator's credit, the renewal price sits directly under it on the card rather than in a footnote. The footnote only confirms what the card already says: prices reflect discount on first term.
| Plan | First term | Renews at | Discount | Websites | Storage | vCPUs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Baby | $4.50/mo | $16.49/mo | 73% | 20 | 20 GB SSD | 2 |
| Business | $6.25/mo | $21.99/mo | 72% | 50 | 50 GB SSD | 3 |
| Pro | $13.95/mo | $29.69/mo | 53% | 100 | 100 GB SSD | 5 |

The Renewal Jump Is the Number to Plan For
Baby goes from $4.50 to $16.49 at renewal, a 266% increase. Business goes from $6.25 to $21.99, a 252% increase. Pro is gentler, from $13.95 to $29.69, a 113% increase, because it starts closer to its real price.
What That Means in Practice
At renewal, Baby costs $197.88 a year, Business $263.88 and Pro $356.28. That is the figure to compare against other hosts, not the first term rate. The cleanest way to soften it is to lock in the longest first term you are comfortable prepaying, because the discount runs for the whole of that first term. Pick the term in the cart and read the total before you pay, since the monthly figure on the card is the one that looks best.
None of this is unusual. Hostinger, Bluehost and DreamHost all price the same way, and I have done the same arithmetic for each of them in the Black Friday hosting deals ranked by four year cost. Budget for the second number and the first one becomes a pleasant surprise.
What Each HostGator Plan Includes
The three plans share a common base. They differ on site count, storage, processor allocation and two extras on the upper plans.
- All three plans: WordPress pre-installed, phone and chat support, unmetered bandwidth, basic email, a free domain for the first year, free SSL, malware scanning with AI powered detection and removal, and Cloudflare CDN.
- Baby, $4.50: 20 websites, 20 GB SSD storage and 2 vCPUs. Plenty for one blog or a handful of small sites.
- Business, $6.25: 50 websites, 50 GB SSD and 3 vCPUs, plus weekly website backups and domain privacy for the first year. HostGator marks it as the recommended plan.
- Pro, $13.95: 100 websites, 100 GB SSD and 5 vCPUs, with the same weekly backups and first year domain privacy.
Backups are what I would weigh most. Baby does not list automated weekly backups and the two upper plans do. For $1.75 a month more on the first term, Business is the plan I would buy, and I would still take my own backups on top, as I do on every host.

About the Extra 20% Off Banner
Right now a banner across the top of HostGator's site reads “Get up to an EXTRA 20% OFF” on web hosting, VPS hosting, the AI All-Access Pack and more. Read the wording carefully: it is up to 20%, and it names products rather than the WordPress plans specifically.
So do not assume it stacks on top of the WordPress prices above. Add the plan you want to the cart, and if an extra reduction applies you will see it on the order summary. If it does not, the 73% first term discount is still the price that matters.

HostGator Black Friday 2026, What I Expect
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. HostGator has not published a 2026 sale page, and its old Black Friday URL is a 404, so anyone quoting a 2026 HostGator Black Friday percentage today is guessing.
With the Baby plan already at 73% off its renewal price, the room for a bigger Black Friday headline is limited. If a sale does land, the things worth checking are whether the discount extends to longer first terms and whether it reaches the renewal at all, which it almost never does in shared hosting. I will put the real number at the top of this page the day it goes live.
Which HostGator Plan to Buy
One site on a budget: Baby, $4.50
Enough for a blog or a small business site, and 20 websites is more headroom than most people will use. Budget for $16.49 a month at renewal and take your own backups, because Baby does not list weekly backups.
The one I would pick: Business, $6.25
Weekly backups, first year domain privacy, an extra vCPU and 50 websites for $1.75 a month more than Baby. It renews at $21.99, so the gap widens later, but backups alone justify it for any site that earns money.
Many sites or heavier traffic: Pro, $13.95
Five vCPUs and 100 GB of storage for agencies or busier sites. The first term discount is the smallest of the three at 53%, which also makes it the plan with the smallest renewal shock, from $13.95 to $29.69.
