Short version before anything else: A2 Hosting does not exist any more. The brand is now Hosting.com, a2hosting.com redirects there, and every article still promising you an A2 Hosting Black Friday deal is pointing at a company that changed its name.
That is the real story this year, and it matters more than any percentage. Below is what is actually running today, what the prices genuinely are including what they renew at, and what the old A2 Black Friday sales looked like so you can judge whether waiting is worth it. Everything here was checked on 22 September 2026.
A2 Hosting Black Friday 2026, live status
Black Friday 2026 falls on 27 November, which is still around nine weeks away. No Black Friday sale has been announced under either the A2 Hosting or the Hosting.com name.
But a discount is already running. As of today, Hosting.com is selling its WordPress plans at between 55% and 72% off the list price on an annual term, starting at $4.49 a month. That is not a Black Friday offer, it is the standard promotional pricing, and it is live right now.
What I would do: if you need hosting this quarter, the current offer is already strong and there is no guarantee November beats it. If you can wait, check back the week of 24 November and compare against the numbers in the table below.
A2 Hosting is now Hosting.com
This is easy to verify yourself. Request any A2 Hosting URL and watch where it lands.
| Old A2 Hosting URL | What happens today |
|---|---|
www.a2hosting.com | 301 redirect to hosting.com |
www.a2hosting.com/wordpress-hosting | 301 to the hosting.com homepage, not to a matching WordPress page |
www.a2hosting.in, the India site | 301 to a2hosting.com, then on to hosting.com |
affiliates.a2hosting.com | No DNS record at all. The host simply does not resolve |
blackfriday.a2hosting.com | Still live, and still showing 2023 content |
Notice the second row. Deep links do not map across to equivalent pages, they all collapse to the root. So if you follow an old A2 Hosting link from any article, a review, a coupon site, or a forum post from two years ago, you land on a homepage and have to find your way from there.
What this means for the discount codes you will find
A2 Hosting coupon codes circulating on deal sites were issued against A2's old billing system. I would not count on any of them working, and I am not going to list codes I cannot test. The current discount is applied automatically at the prices shown below, with no code required.
Hosting.com WordPress pricing right now
These are the live prices on an annual term, taken from the vendor's own page today. The column that matters most is the last one.
| Plan | List price | Discount | You pay | Billed today | Renews at |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | $9.99/mo | 55% off | $4.49/mo | $53.87 | $9.99/mo |
| Medium | $17.99/mo | 72% off | $4.99/mo | $59.89 | $17.99/mo |
| Advanced | $25.99/mo | 58% off | $10.99/mo | $131.89 | $25.99/mo |
| Turbo | $34.99/mo | 57% off | $14.99/mo | $179.88 | $34.99/mo |
The Medium plan is the interesting one. At 72% off it costs 50 cents a month more than Small while giving you five WordPress installs instead of one, four times the traffic allowance and more than twice the storage. On first year pricing Small is close to pointless.
What that changes at renewal is the part deal articles never mention. Small renews at $9.99 and Medium at $17.99, so the gap that is 50 cents in year one becomes eight dollars a month in year two. Buy Medium if you will use the five installs, not because the first year looks cheap.

Read the Small plan's feature list carefully
In the screenshot above, two rows on the Small plan are struck through with a cross rather than ticked: Free WP Rocket and Free Object Cache Pro. Every other tier includes both.
Those two are a meaningful part of why this host benchmarks well on WordPress, so the cheapest plan is not simply a smaller version of the others. If you copy this pricing table out of a text based tool the strikethroughs vanish and every tier looks identical, which is exactly how these tables get reported wrongly.
What every plan includes
- Unlimited PHP workers, which is unusual at this price and is normally the first thing throttled on cheap shared hosting
- 99.99% uptime guarantee, free SSL and an enterprise CDN
- Web application firewall and malware protection
- Free migrations and automated daily backups with 14 day retention
- A staging environment on every tier, including the cheapest
- 30 day money back guarantee and free domain registration
One correction to anything you read about A2 elsewhere, including older versions of this page: the refund window is now 30 days, not the 45 days A2 advertised for years. That changed with the rebrand and most articles have not caught up.
What A2 Hosting Black Friday sales actually looked like
This section is history, clearly labelled as history, so you can judge whether November is likely to beat what is on the table today.
| Year | What was advertised | Reality |
|---|---|---|
| 2021 | Up to 82% off shared hosting, Startup from around $2.99 a month | Headline percentage applied to the longest term on the cheapest plan |
| 2022 | Similar shared hosting discounts, heavily promoted Turbo plans | Turbo tiers were the genuine value, entry plans were the headline |
| 2023 | A Black Friday microsite of partner product offers | Still live today at blackfriday.a2hosting.com, and it is a directory of third party WordPress deals rather than a hosting discount |
| 2024 and 2025 | Nothing distinctly A2 branded that survives today | The brand was in transition toward Hosting.com |
| 2026 | Nothing announced yet | A 55% to 72% discount is already running outside of any seasonal event |
That 2023 microsite is worth a look because of what it tells you about how these campaigns are run. It is hosted separately from the main site, it was never taken down, and it offers things like image optimisation and translation plugins rather than hosting. A leftover campaign page being live in 2026 is not evidence of a live sale.

Is the Black Friday percentage real?
Partly. The discount is genuine, but an 82% off headline is arithmetic performed against the highest possible list price on the longest possible term for the cheapest plan. The effective saving on a plan you would actually want is always lower.
Compare it against what is in front of you instead. The Medium plan is discounted 72% today, in September. A November headline of 80% is not automatically a better deal, and it will renew at the same $17.99 either way.
Is Hosting.com worth buying at all
A discount on the wrong host is not a bargain, so here is my honest read, including the parts that should give you pause.
What genuinely stands out
- Unlimited PHP workers on every tier. PHP workers are what actually determine whether your site falls over under concurrent traffic, and most hosts in this price band cap them tightly
- WP Rocket and Object Cache Pro included from the Medium plan up. Those are paid products in their own right
- Staging on every plan, including the cheapest, which is rare
- 4.8 on Trustpilot from over 7,100 reviews at the time of writing
What I would want you to think about
- The rebrand is recent and the transition is visible. Deep links collapsing to a homepage and a dead affiliate subdomain are the kind of loose ends that suggest a migration still in progress
- Renewal pricing is roughly double what you pay in year one on every tier. Budget for the real number, not the promotional one
- The refund window shortened from 45 days to 30
- Their published speed comparisons are their own. Hosting.com publishes a chart putting itself well ahead of SiteGround, Bluehost, WP Engine and Cloudways. That is a vendor benchmark on a vendor's own test, and I would treat it the way I treat any vendor benchmark, which is as marketing until somebody independent reproduces it
For what it is worth, my own multi location testing of managed WordPress hosts is published separately, and the method is set out on my testing methodology page if you want to check how I arrive at these judgements.
Alternatives worth comparing before you buy
| Host | Why you would pick it instead | Read more |
|---|---|---|
| Hostinger | Cheapest credible entry point, strong for a first site | NameHero vs Hostinger |
| Cloudways | Managed cloud on your choice of provider, scales past shared hosting | Three way performance test |
| Rocket.net | Fastest in my own testing, enterprise Cloudflare included | Three way performance test |
| GreenGeeks | Comparable shared hosting with an environmental angle | GreenGeeks deals |
A2 Hosting Black Friday 2026, frequently asked questions
Is there an A2 Hosting Black Friday sale in 2026?
Not yet, and it will not be branded A2 Hosting if it happens. A2 Hosting is now Hosting.com and a2hosting.com redirects there. Black Friday 2026 falls on 27 November. What is running today, checked 22 September 2026, is a standard promotional discount of between 55% and 72% off the annual price, which is already substantial.
What happened to A2 Hosting?
It rebranded to Hosting.com. Every A2 Hosting URL now 301 redirects to hosting.com, including the India site at a2hosting.in. Deep links do not map to equivalent pages, they all land on the homepage, and the old affiliate subdomain no longer has a DNS record at all. The hosting service itself continues under the new name.
How much does Hosting.com cost?
On an annual term as of 22 September 2026: Small $4.49 a month, Medium $4.99, Advanced $10.99 and Turbo $14.99. Those are discounted prices. They renew at $9.99, $17.99, $25.99 and $34.99 a month respectively, so budget for roughly double from year two.
Which Hosting.com plan is the best value?
Medium, by a wide margin in year one. It is 50 cents a month more than Small but gives you five WordPress installs instead of one, 120,000 visitors instead of 30,000, and includes WP Rocket and Object Cache Pro which Small excludes. Be aware the gap widens to eight dollars a month at renewal.
Do I need a coupon code for the Hosting.com discount?
No. The discount is applied automatically at checkout on an annual term. Old A2 Hosting coupon codes were issued against A2's previous billing system and I would not rely on any of them. I do not list codes I cannot verify.
Is the 82% off A2 Hosting Black Friday claim real?
The discount was real but the number is a best case. Headline percentages like that are calculated against the highest list price, on the longest term, for the cheapest plan. The effective saving on a plan most people would actually buy is lower. Judge any November offer against the 55% to 72% that is already available today.
Does Hosting.com still offer the 45 day money back guarantee?
No. A2 Hosting advertised 45 days for years and it is now a 30 day money back guarantee under Hosting.com. Plenty of articles still quote the old figure, so check the current terms at checkout rather than trusting a review.
When is Black Friday 2026?
Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. Hosting companies typically open early, often the week before, and some run through to the first week of December. If a Hosting.com offer appears I will update this page with the exact terms and dates.
Is Hosting.com good for WordPress?
The specification is strong for the price: unlimited PHP workers on every tier, staging everywhere, an enterprise CDN, and WP Rocket plus Object Cache Pro from the Medium plan up. The caution is that the rebrand is recent and its rough edges are still visible, and that its published speed comparisons against other hosts are its own benchmarks rather than independent ones.
Should I wait for Black Friday or buy now?
If you need hosting this quarter, buy now. A 72% discount in September is not obviously worse than whatever appears in November, and you get two extra months of hosting for the same annual price. If you can genuinely wait, check back the week of 24 November and compare against the table on this page.

Disclosure: some links on this page are affiliate links and I earn a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Prices, redirect behaviour and plan features were read off the vendor's own pages on 22 September 2026, and the pricing table was checked against the rendered page rather than a text copy so that excluded features are reported correctly.
